Dr. Paula Orr is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, and a member of the American Medical Association. She was a Board of Trustees member of MUSC from 2003 to 2011, where she was appointed by the former Governor of SC. She has been practicing in the Charleston area for over ten years and has achieved recognition from the Charleston Regional Business Journal She received her B.S. Degree from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC, her Post-Baccalaureate from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI & her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, where she served as Chief Resident (Dept of Obstetrics/Gynecology).

Her interests include the management of abnormal pap smears and abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Orr has a strong interest in alternative medicine and preventative medicine to treat many gynecological aliments. She opened her private practice Charleston Women’s Wellness Center in 2000 because she felt the need to offer patients a different type of care than they received in traditional GYN offices.
